What started out as a simple but selfish want to have better yoga classes everywhere, has turned into my comprehensive yoga teacher mentorship program. In this industry it's almost impossible to express what's good and what's bad "not as good" when it comes to yoga classes. That's got a lot to do with the whole "do whatever feels best in your body" culture... and everybody has their own version. But I believe it's more so because our industry prioritises churning out 200 hour YTT graduate "teachers" without ever teaching you HOW TO structure an intelligent, safe and progressive yoga experience. They pay very well, so there's no surprise there!
Through our experiences travelling the world and visiting yoga studios we were left frustrated at the lack of quality in most classes. Yoga teaching is not easy! But there is a base level of structure that makes a HUGE difference in the quality of class you deliver. And this structure, this intelligence, was missing everywhere. So what do you do when you want something better but can't find it? You build it yourself! And that's how on sunny morning, poolside in Indonesia, The Evolv. Method Group Mentorship was born.

WHO IS MY MENTOR?
This mentorship is led by Christine, founder and head teacher at evolv.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The evolv. method Mentorship is a 10-week course, held online.
You will receive a pdf manual to use as your study guide, access to evolv. online studio for 1 year, weekly group coaching calls, personalised feedback for each part and all the tools needed to take your teaching to the next level.
There are 9 group calls over the 10 week period. The calls are a minimum 90-minutes and held on Sundays (time and day is to be decided by what best suits the group).
At the end of the mentorship you will have a final 1:1 call with your mentor to go through strengths and work-ons going forward, and any last questions.
The program is based around our signature evolv. Vinyasa sequence, a 60-minute class which is broken into the 6-part framework we teach you. This class is exclusive to mentorship participants.
Each week you submit a video recording of yourself teaching that part of the framework and receive personalised written feedback on it. In our weekly group calls we discuss common trends within the group, answer any questions and provide instruction on the next week of work.
Using our signature framework you will learn how to adjust the class to suit any style or length of practice, offer effective verbal cueing and alignment techniques that guide your students safely, weave themes into your teaching, start to sequence your own classes and step into your teaching space with confidence, enthusiasm and authority.

HOW MANY HOURS PER WEEK ARE REQUIRED?
How much time you spend on the program each week is completely up to you. But remember, what you put into it is what you will get out of it!
We do recommend a minimum of 1-2 hours per day to learn the content and practice your teaching. And 90 minutes is required per week for the group coaching call.
It's a good idea to practice the sequence verbally whenever you can. That might be in the car, in the line for coffee 😏, while walking the dog, or anywhere really. Mp3 recordings for each part are provided so you can easily listen to them on your device. It's the best way to develop your cueing skills and get familiar with hearing your own voice.
